Junior Product Engineer – Graphene Liquid Cells for Transmission Electron Microscopy

HBO level| Engineering | Amsterdam | Innovative Startup | Nanotechnology

Are you looking for an opportunity to look into the kitchen of a early-phase technological start-up company? As a two-year old start-up company, our team of engineers and scientist are constantly improving and adapting Vitrotem technology to meet the needs of scientists.

Vitrotem is the first company to have developed a device that automates the fabrication of graphene liquid cells (GLCs). GLCs are nanoscale structures that allow researchers to study systems such as proteins, viruses, and nanomaterials. Our mission is to open up this disruptive high-resolution imaging mode to research groups working on energy storage, nanomedicine and catalysis.

Vitrotem’s newly developed GLC fabrication instrument is currently being brought to market in beta version. As part of our engineering team, you will work on the assembly of the instruments.

You will also advise on necessary improvements for future version of the instrument and help with design. Working together with our application scientists, you will test and validate every instrument after assembly, making it fit for shipping to customers in international research laboratories.
